Understanding learning differences

Each of us is unique, and this means we all learn in our own special way too. Some children may find it easy to learn from their surroundings and do well in school, but other children may need more focused instruction to develop skills for success and independence.

Some children with learning differences have an official diagnosis, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, or Dyscalculia. Others may not have an official diagnosis, but still have trouble learning or keeping up with their classmates in school.

But, here's the good news: children with learning differences can learn! We just need to find the best way to teach them. When we adapt our teaching methods to suit their individual needs, they can thrive and achieve great things.
